About Enorm
ENORM is a band originally from Enschede, The Netherlands and its key members have been playing together for almost 25 years. The band has released eight albums (studio and live) and a live DVD. The single ‘Zoe’, starring Dutch actress Johanna ter Steege, resulted from the collaboration with producer Holger Schwedt who worked with acts like Di-rect, Postmen, BLØF, Miss Montreal, Van Velzen and Anouk, (see https://youtu.be/wsyxziT1KjI). The proceeds of the single benefited the Lost a Child foundation that supports parents in the almost impossible task of coping with the loss of a child.
In September 2020, ENORM started a close collaboration with Van Hoevelaak Records, the record label owned and run by brothers Coen and Edwin van Hoevelaak. The cooperation comprises writing and producing music at Van Hoevelaak’s Rooftop Studios in Holten, The Netherlands. The release of ENORM’s music is managed by Van Hoevelaak Records, with a number of singles including a music video being released to the Dutch and German markets. The parties will also work together in producing live concerts. Between 2003 and 2005 ENORM released two albums that were recorded at Rooftop Studios, with producer Edwin van Hoevelaak.
Next to Van Hoevelaak Records, producer Vincent Sorg is involved with writing and producing ENORM’s songs. Based in Senden, Germany, Vincent worked with German mega-act Die Toten Hosen. In recent years, ENORM and Sorg worked together on projects such as ‘Reach for the Roses’, a song that was written for the Dutch cancer foundation KWF (see https://youtu.be/VKTDqGF7mdA).
ENORM has an excellent live reputation. The band has performed on major stages and festivals with national acts such as VanVelzen, Krezip, Van Dik Hout, Ten Sharp, Golden Earring and Ilse DeLange, but also international artists such as Sting and Tower of Power. ENORM is a regular guest on radio stations such as 3FM, Veronica and Radio2. The single ‘German Soldier’ drew attention from TV stations such as RTL4 and SBS6 (see https://youtu.be/llzyyuhFm2c). The single ‘Answers’ was listed in the Dutch Top 100 for several weeks.
ENORM also produces the successful show ‘Kerst met Ballen’, which has been performed at various Dutch and German stages and theatres around Christmas for over 15 years. In 2012, this production resulted in the local dialect hit ‘Op Hoes Op An Veur Kesmis’ during 3FM’s Serious Request in Enschede (see https://youtu.be/RZzx54wrUGQ). The single achieved national fame and, partly due to a live performance in the 3FM Glazen Huis and guest appearances at TV stations BNN and RTV Oost, raised around EUR 30,000 in donations. During the 2020 edition of ‘Kerst met Ballen’ the Time Bandits were special guests.
